Fergal Flaherty was born on the 8th of March 1971 in Longford Town, Ireland and at the age of six he moved with his Family to the east coast, where he spent the next fifteen years.
Settling in the seaside village of Bettystown and falling in love with his new surrounding of golden sand and crashing waves it didn't take long before he called Bettystown his home.
Completeing his primary education in Laytown National school Fergal then went to the nearby town of Drogheda where he finished his secondary education with the Christian Brothers in St Joseph's C.B.S.
Fergal then Furthered his education in the College of music Dublin studying percussion. Whilst studying in Dublin Fergal was working in a Men's boutique in Drogheda called "Mansworld".
With having a very understanding boss and a great working atmosphere Fergal was able to balance his Music and work. While working and studying Fergal had also set up his own one man band act around the pub's and club's of Drogheda, gradually he built himself a loyal following.
Then after a show one night Fergal was approached to work in an Irish bar in Mallorca and at the age of 22 he felt it was a great opportunity to see different parts of the world.
Fergal finished the summer of 93` season and after returning to Ireland for two week's Fergal felt the itch to move again and then decided take a gamble and go to Tenerife.
Within three day's he got a spot in "The Red Lion" where he spent the next three months until he became resident singer in the "Irish Welcome" Los Cristianos
where he spent the summer of 94´ after completing his contract Fergal and his Wife Deirdre took a well deserverd break to Ireland for two weeks that November.
On returning to Tenerife Fergal was asked by his Wife's boss Greg James to come and entertain in his bar called the "Hole in the wall" The bar got that busy that it was just too small to cope with the amount of clientele
so Fergal and Greg decided to go into partnership in a bigger premises that is the "Hole in the wall" Parque de la Paz, Las Americas as it is today.
Fergal Spent Three years with his great friend Greg and the "Hole in the Wall" until March 1999 when Fergal returned to Ireland to Fulfill his lifetime ambition, recording his own album and touring.
In November Fergal recorded his debut album "Don't think twice" on the "Tulip Record" Label (Ireland) and was released in January 2000 and from the success of the album toured extensively through Ireland The U.K. Denmark, Australia and the U.S.
After Three years of touring Fergal decided to shorten his touring schedule to spend some valuable time with his Wife and young family, So he returned to Tenerife. Even though he entertains to a full house 6 nights a week Fergal now has time to spend his day with his family.
Fergal returns to Ireland & the UK 2-3 Times a year for some live shows to cater for those Fan's who cannot make it to Tenerife to catch his live show.
While in the U.S.A in April 2002 Fergal fulfilled his dream of visiting and recording in Nashville Tennessee. He got in touch with one of Nashville's finest musicians and producers "Mike Headrick"
and they recorded a great 12 track country CD. Nine of the tracks are original song's written by Fergal.
After cutting down on his touring and returning back to Tenerife Fergal put the release of the album on hold until June 2006.
The album is called "Everything you do" and is released on the "Tulip Record Label" it's a must for those who like to hear something fresh and New.
The title track was released as a single on a compilation from the studio in Nashville where it was recorded. Every year Mike Headrick and Discovery Records release a compilation of all the artists who have recorded with them
and send it to 400 radio stations world wide. The response from DJ's has been Phenomenal and now Fergal is starting a worldwide rpomotions with RHONBOB Promotions Tennessee U.S.A. in January 2007.

Fergal Has many musical influences as he likes all styles of music. He believes no matter what style of music a song falls in to if a song is catchy and has good lyrics he will add it to his repetoire performing it in his own way.
His Influences range from U2,Westlife, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, The Eagles, Crowded House to many Irish performers like Tommy Fleming, The Clancy Brothers Johnny McEvoy, and Christy Moore.
Fergal would like to thank all the Loyal Friends(fans) who come back to see him year after year not only in Tenerife but on tour too. Also his great friend Bob Brolly for the priceless airplay on his show with BBC WM
and the invitation to perform on his Irish gala show in the Symphony hall Birmingham.
Not forgetting the time and effort put in to producing and recording his album "I will love you".
